VOBIS stands for the Victorian Owners and Breeders Incentive Scheme and was first introduced in in 1985,
Initially created to encourage owners and breeders to invest in the Victorian breeding industry, VOBIS has since grown into a further two incarnations, Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold.
In Victoria, the lucrative Super VOBIS and VOBIS Gold owner schemes offer more than $19.4 million of prize money and bonuses across Victoria, giving connections a wonderful opportunity to increase their possible returns and boost market interest in Victorian bred horses.
VOBIS Gold, is offered in addition to the highly successful Super VOBIS scheme and provides owners of Victorian bred horses the chance to enjoy an increased return during their horse’s racing career.

The Racing NSW Breeder Owner Bonus Scheme (BOBS) has been operating since 2003 and to be eligible for BOBS a racehorse must be sired by a NSW-based stallion for which the Stallion Nomination Fee has been paid. That stallion’s progeny may then be advertised or sold as weanlings or yearlings as “BOBS eligible.”
BOBS Extra was was introduced in 2010 and BOBS Extra nominated horses can win bonuses of up to $20,000 through winning events 1800-metres and longer, from the day the horse turns four-years-old until the date of its retirement.

Westspeed is the The W.A. Thoroughbred Breeder and Owner Incentive that fosters and promotes Western Australian thoroughbred breeding and racing activities by offering bonuses for owning and racing a locally bred horse.

SABOIS is the South Australian Breeders’ & Owners’ Incentive Scheme. It helps maximise interest in qualified horses and provides financial rewards to breeders or nominators, owners, trainers and jockeys over and above standard prizemoney.

The Queensland Thoroughbred Investment Scheme (QTIS) commencement during the 2002/03 racing season. Breeders or owners of eligible horses are then eligible to race for substantial incentives on selected races throughout Queensland.
